[b] We need a link to this forum on the City website. There only seems to be a few of us left on here and crowds seem to be down, or is it just me that thinks that? I think the club should put the link in a prominent place, with a disclaimer, warning folk that we're completely independent and our views are our views etc. Does anybody else think crowds are down? I suppose it's only to be expected as we have little in the way of facilities and basically just stand for a couple of hours in an open, windswept field. We need to do all we can to raise interest in the club. Putting a link on the club site would surely help.

I agree about the link, message to the club is how about it then? There must be someway round any legal bits and pieces. How do other clubs with forums get round it?
Difficult to comment on attendances, I do notice, however they are not on the website this season like they were last. I suppose the differing venues and ko times might be a factor, as are the short notice postponments - no-ones fault but possible factors none-the-less.
Important cup game coming up this Saturday, especially after the H&B defeat, and we have something to prove against Oakwood. Also some vital league games coming up particularly with Socksy's mates from the Uni breathing down our necks!!
A few more lines in the Gazette wouldn't go amiss, instead of just the usual post match reports, how about a preview for the forthcoming game as well, rather than just a line that says "City are away at wherever, on Saturday, ko time......." Over to you Mr Stokes...... |

| Socksy my dear dear chap, you really must stop being so negative about the old footy crowds, I am sure they are not down at all ? but if one or two fellows are missing it could be that the chaps Royce is playing up ? or he has a meeting at his club ?... whatever it may be I am sure that everyone will be there to cheer them on this saturday ? I certainly will, presuming my Psychotherapist will give me a day pass ? As for the link, I am in total agreement there and why not link us to some other interesting places ...Like " Grass Growing for beginers " or " Gardeners Weekly " then we can get a tip on how to look after a pitch. Also we could link ourselves to that other prominent Kentish forum " Valley Review " ... |

Guys, guys, guys. It's all about navigation, or rather knowing where to look.
From the home page click on Articles. Navigate to Articles and then select Statistics- Mens 1st team etc. Now you have three statistical options - mens first team, reserves or ladies. Select what you want. If you're after Attendances then select Mens First Team and you get for each fixture the City line-up, result and attendance.
Alternatively simply click below...
http://www.canterburycityfc.com/a...ail.asp?articles_id=77
then select Statistics- Mens 1st team etc. |

I agree with Cart Horse the crowds are down: The general observations from supporters that I talk to are that the statistics for attendance does not reflect the true number in attendance.
Yes there should be a link from the main website to this forum. The “forum” on the website, well I assume "mail received via your views" is the forum that they promised us when the new site was up and running is under used. Last posting in November, but they do not say who posted the question. My guess is that it was written and answered by the same person, like the entire articles on that page
Come on Canterbury City FC endorse the existing forum or set up one that is a true forum for the supporters, rather that a bit odd back slapping, which you currently do |

Thank you City Fan (sic) but I don't believe that I said I thought attendances were down, and now, thanks to md, we can all see what the reported attendances are. I don't know which supporters you speak to who doubt the attendances, they must be the ones with the white sticks and guide dogs!
Lastly, I can vouch for the fact that I have posted something on the "mail received" bit as inadequate as it is, and that it was answered and not by myself!!
See you Saturday! |

| I am with Mr Hoarse on this, I think the attendances are fine, we even had two people flying in from Canada to watch us the last time we played Oakwood ... I will be there again today and all I can say to all the lads on the pitch is "this time watch the far post" |

What I want to know is:
If attendances are down, why do I have to keep parking further and further away from the ground???? |

Dunno, I got there late this week, but still bagged the deputy head's space. That was at about 2.05 and the headmaster's space was still free then.
