Betteshanger Quit?Much of the talk on Saturday surrounded the breaking news that Betteshanger were quitting the County league. The club hit hardest by this would be City, the only side to have beaten the Colliery side our lead will be down to 6 points!
Seems that there has been no official confirmation but checking the new County League website shows, in the Directory, a Division 1 East with just 11 teams and Betteshangers cup game Saturday postponed. I guess that just about confirms it.

That's a shame, is it due to lack of players or funds? If it's lack of available players, could not other KCL clubs loan out some volunteers from their reserve sides to help them stay up and running?

Really disappointing that we will lose the points and goals and pegs us back to the chasing group. Bookings from that game count which is a bit of a disgrace really, why should they count if nothing else does!!?
