Deal 3/9/08Any thoughts on the game last night?
I thought we looked fairly strong, it bodes well for the new season. Also what a cracker from Maxted, great to see him back in city colours.
Having tried numerous formations it is anyones guess to what the team and formation will be saturday.

it was nice being able to park where i wanted,and take up numerous postions around the ground to view the entertainment on show.After watching the ramsgate, folkestone res,hythe and deal town games we should be in for another great season

Yes, we did look strong even with all the changes, especially in the second half and overall I think we deserved the victory, and I don't believe Deal can really have any complaints.
Three great moments: James Brooke's goal - a free kick came back off the keeper and he poked it home from three yards, but fair play to him for following it up and being there to do so, Jamie Maxted's superb free kick that rocketed in off the bar as the Deal keeper didn't even have time to move and finally a fantastic, reaction, flying, point blank save from Danny Black near the end that would have given Deal the draw.
As for Saturday, I think Dave will wish he could play 20 players, because goodness only knows who the starting 11 will be, he appears to have loads of options. A nice headache to have, glad it's not mine!!
