guru nanak saturdayShould be our first real test and disappointed that I won't be there.
I will be very suprised if dave doesn't change formations and players, although I think he should keep a winning side together no need to change anything as the team seem to be gelling!

I am pretty sure that dave f will make a few changes; he is the Rafa Benitez of local football!!! There were several changes for the Kennington game and I am sure that J.Brooke will be looking for a start this coming weekend. He was outstanding against Betteshanger and then ran the line against Kennington....now that is a rotation system!

How can smissen and gutsell suddenly get above brooke in the pecking order, strange decision there!! Problem for broke is the midfield were excellent saturday so unless he plays 5 in midfield he can't really change much.
I would go 4 5 1 (away remember)
Black
Jackson Hossick Lockhart Maxted
Smith Broke
Gower Mcgheen Lawford
Reed
subs
baker
gough
seagers

come on Coxy 1, let's play some attacking football! 4-5-1 is so boring and does playing at home or away really make a difference anyway! If you want to switch your line-up to a more orthodox 4-3-3 then fair enough but playing with just one genuine striker is hardly inspiring.

Like the previous posts stated, dave was looking to rotate the team so i think thats why gutsell and smissen were ahead of brooke.
it was unfortunate for him as he was fanastic against betteshanger.
I dont think theres any harm in tryin out a few players before the harder games because the two games we have played were,on paper, supposed to be easier.
As for this weekend i am with corpse and believe we should play 3 up top as it worked quite well at the weekend.

Got to keep the same side as saturday, got to build some momentum as there were patches of quality football against kennington. Tinkering with teams does not work and we will get caught out doing that in this league! Starters against kennington deserve to keep the shirts.

i think i would go with :
433
Black
Baker
Hodge?/hossick
lockhart
jackson
Mcgeehan
Smith
Maxted
Lawford
Reed
Gough
The team looks to be gelling well and i agree a winning team should always be played. And as always the fans want attacking football. Will guru be expecting us to go up their and attack?

Corpse, Dave F might be the Rafa of local football but there was a period when he looked more like Everton's Moyes with his rant at Smith, lucky we haven't got any stands!
Not sure i would agree with you moore 66 on the team gelling, the only players who have had a chance to do that are Black, Lockhart, Baker and Jackson, i thought pre season freindlies were for trying different players and systems.
How about this 4-3-3
Black
Baker Lockhart Hodge Jackson
Smith Read Brooke
Gower Gough Lawford
Subs. Williams, Boneywell, McGeehan

team selection depends on who is fit- we still have a few injuries and as for gough starting - he looked awful at the game on saturday watching from the side .....
Bonneywell and hodge ----- are they fit? seagers was he fit? is salter around - I would like a midweek update so we know who is fit for the weekend

I like the team playing 4-3-3, particularly at home and with our full backs being quick, the team seems to be able to keep generating width.
My team for the weekend would be
Jackson Lockhart Hossick Seager
Smith
Mcgeehan Maxted
Gower Read Lawford
But isnt it great to have so many options.....

Great to have so many options, but very bold going with no keeper!

As well as as players being fit we should be asking why certain players ( difficult one I know ) have two different start dates to return after an extremely unjust ban ... one on his KCFA letter, and apparently a different date on the clubs letter ... KCFA in charge ....my dead dog would make a better job of it.

433 is my option to start game, letthem worry about us and what we do best
black, lockhart, hodge, baker,jackson
lawford, smith, maxted
read
gough gower
I feel we miss Hodge at the back, as he and lockhart are a solid. maxted maybe at left back to form last years defence, which was solid through out. read just sitting behind or in the middle of gough and gower, to hold up play or supply those killer balls.
