Margate

What a difference a day makes, when I looked on the website late last  night (monday 21st)  I saw we were playing Snodland at Home  now I see we  are play Margate at home.  What happened to the Snodland game, or was it an error in the first place.
Can anyone tell me where the home game is being played as the last home game was  in Whitstable

I must say that the 1st team have started off well in the friendly’s  lets hope its  we can maintain the rhythm for the season and win promotion again.

I wonder what Dave’s predictions are going to be

looks as though the web master has seen the above message because they have now changed the H to an A   which now mean that Canterbury are now playing away to  Margate.
Can anyone explain what is going on.

I assume someone felt we needed to play weaker opposition!!!

That's fighting talk md............
Trust you'll be at Hartsdown to defend those words?
md093834

Sadly not...I'll probably miss both the Margate and Folkestone games

Last season saw two evenly matched friendlies with Margate Reserves. It will be interesting to watch the game on Saturday at Hartsdown Park to see how both teams have developed since then.

Another great win for City today. The first half was a bit of a non event, but the game much livened up in the second half. As at Ramsgate the other night, City benefitted once more from some wayward finishing from their opponents, but that is their problem and our good fortune. The deadly duo of Fittall and Gough again getting their names on the scoresheet, but there were some cracking performances from Harry Gower, John Salter and Sam Baker (allbeit briefly) amongst others, I also thought James Brooke had a good game, covering all over the pitch and getting in the tackles etc, so did the blonde-haired midfielder - sorry don't know your name!
It's looking good for the new season!

Spot on Karthoarse. Harry Gower, John Salter and the blond midfielder really did catch the eye.

I think you will find that the name of that misterious blonde is Troy Smisson ?

I think this years squad will be alot stronger then the last. lots of young handy players avalible all the time along with the origanal base of last seasons players. city showed they were the team in charge on saturday all over the park and i think this will be another successful season.
