My thursday funThis weeks gem from the parish of south canterbury that is twinned with bridge,is a slight concern over problems that might need sorting out if the ground went ahead,i dont know how the people of bridge have managed this last year with the whine of endless grass mowing that takes place but its something that would need serious consideration if the new ground went ahead. great piece by alex claridge on page 11 of the gazette too ten out of ten for that!

Yep, great article in the Gazette (page 11).....yes, the Nimbies could be the most ferocious team we come up against this season!

Perhaps the live long Evertonian in this weeks Gazette should pop along to Bridge on Saturday and see the team play, he may just find he likes what he sees and may decide to come back, then he might be in support of the new ground.
Of course he may need some assistance there, to explain what's happening because as a life long Evertonian, he probably won't have much of a clue about football anyway!

NimbiesNot sure what Nimbies are or how ferocious they are but it would be more than a shame if we let them win. The council need to be shown the support that C.C.F.C has, that said it would be nice to see more support at the games, i'm yet to see an advert or poster informing the people of Canterbury when and where we play, the cricket is advertised on poster boards as you enter the City and many football clubs do the same, Deal i'm sure being one of them, why not us?
I'm sure Phil and the board have it in hand!
See you at the game.

Keep your eyes open then nobster as there was a large roll of advertising posters seen at the game with Premier. They're out there somewhere! Actually you may be able to spot them on the video footage on the Gazette website.
Anyway I cannot believe you lot. All this talk of page 11 of the Gazette forced me to go out and buy a copy. I've had it now for over an hour, thought of writing a letter of my own and still haven't even turned to the sports page!!! My priorities are sadly wrong.
See you all tomorrow afternoon - on the A2 side of the ground please. We don't want to be seen ignoring a polite request from the club and thus give the nimbies any ammunition.

More of a nanny state coming into force. I suppose the club sought legal advice before requesting that we don’t park in Riverside close and that we stand on the far side of the field.
I do hope that the trainer’s/ substitute areas will also be on the far side of the field. If not there will be more open space for the residents to hear the foul language coming from the mouth of one of Dave’s assistants, which I am sure will leave the door wide open for the residents to complain: last year they would not be able to tell if it was the supporters swearing or club officials. Maybe the club have taken this into account and have instructed the offending official, to moderate his language

You make me laugh citysupporter, very entertaining last post.
