Are we not having a go at double guessing " Rafa's " team for tomorrows game....I,ll start the ball rolling....

I bet we have a goal keeper !
nobster

I,ll go second then.

I bet we have a right back.

Could be a long night!!

Obviously nothing on tv last night as everyone appears to have went out.
I think Rafa's going to have a few headache's this morning with Gough,Fittall, Hodge and Bionic back, i,m going with the same starting line up as last week with the four above starting on the line (sorry i meant the bench).

City to win 3-1

Nobster I think that is a good call, my only question would be when does Lockharts ban start ? if its today then Hodge may well be starting.

Well, a professional performance today, eventually running out 4-0 winners. First half, City were not at their best but still created a few chances, Oakwood had theres too but City went in at half time deserving the lead. A goal out of nothing really as a very wide shot from Michael Seagers found Scott Lawford who appearing, to be coming from an offside postion centred the ball for an Oakwood defender to put the ball into his own net. The linesman flagged for offside, which in fairness looked the correct decision, but after a consultation, the referee overuled him and awarded the goal. Lawford was unlucky on two occasions to be brought down and not get the decision, both looked fouls, but neither were in the box.
Second half started much as the first had ended, City pressing forward but much of the game being played out in the midfield area, where James Brooke and Ben Smith excelled. The three man substitution changed the game, the three that came off - Tuite, Lawford and Gower could all consider themselves unlucky, but the arrival of Gough, Fittall and McGeehan seemed to spark new life and a bit of pace into City's play, it
also sparked a sense of inevitability in what was to come.
A great move down the right, saw Ben Smith chasing a lost cause ball to the byeline before sending over a superb cross that Dave Read, shrugging off his marking defender, brought down and controlled the ball in one move, and then turned and fired home for 2-0.
Soon after McGeehan surged forward down the middle, ignored pleas to make a pass, and then blasted a top corner screamer home that had the Oakwood keeper rooted to the spot waving the ball goodbye. Late on City made it 4-0 when the lively Gough scored from Tony Jackson's cross.
As it turned out a comfortable win, because although it remained only 1-0 for a long time, you never really felt that Oakwood were going to do enough to get anything out of the game.

The kent county league website has the result down as 4-1, some mistake surely? I'm sure the club will be in touch to correct them soon!

It tells a story that all three promoted clubs fill the top three places, I know its early days but looks like div 1 east isn't quite as tough as the one we were in last season.
LJN

So has Tony Kempsters site, which is pretty much the bible of Non-League........

Well LJN a bible it may be but I am afraid it is still a work of fiction as Oakwood no more scored in the city goal than walked on water, they did ofcourse score in their own net.
socksy

So 4:0 it was then.  The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.
