pre-season friendliesI see that we have another match this Wednesday - can anyone explain to me the reasoning behind 12 pre-season friendlies! Even at international level these matches are pretty pointless! If I were a player I would have been desperate for a proper competitive match by now; can Dave F really learn anything new about his squad of players at this stage? That said, I can't wait for the season to start and I am hoping that the lads are fresh and raring to go against Betteshanger.

Fair point about friendlies Nobster.
At least Dave can say that he has had the opportunity to look at many players. I guess that tonight at Deal he will play his preferred squad in preparation for Saurday's first league game.

given the people that were there I would say it was his squad fitall gough lockhart ( new capt by the way!!!) and co and they beat deal quite easily with a good performance
