I agree, it would be nice to hear from Dave, a senior player or even one of the coaching staff as to their thoughts on how things are going before the start of the season.

There's not been a lot on the official site lately has there?
I particularly miss Dave's Diary, always the first thing I looked for.

I agree with you Skipper
There has not been a lot happening on the website. No updates for Dave Diary or the chairmans corner. Maybe nothing is happening in the club.
I was under the impression that there is a consulatation going on regarding the new ground, well the website mentions this
Maybe the chairman can update his corner to let us all know what is happening.
and Dave could.if he gets time write a bit for his diary. There must be alot to write about, what with the forthcoming start to the season

I'd imagine this is a really busy time of year for all at the club. I don't want to seem like a bum licker, but I'm suprised and grateful that so few achieve so much for City. Maybe when the actual season starts, all will be back to normal regarding the website.
Come on City!!

I don't know where the need is but isn't the club supposed to be working on a new website? Could that be an explanation for the minimum input in the "old" one? Anyway I would be very much suprised if Dave wouldn't let us know about his thoughts and ideas before the First Division starts on Saturday.

No doubt there will be some info about the squad in the Gazette on Thursday. Dave has some interesting selection dilemmas.
Hey, skipper1, not sure about Dave's diary, it's a bit of a long read for me!

Its good to know that the chairman of Canterbury City Football club comes on and reads postings on this forum, as I see he has up dated his chairmans' corner after 2 months break of not submitting anything at all. I am sure there have been plenty going on in the club, that could have been shared with the supporters.
Sadly there was nothing in the chairman’s corner to say why there is a need to move to the far side of the pitch, I would have thought that he would be able to explain the reasoning behind the “parish councils request to move the spectators to the far side of the pitch.
Nice to see Dave’s diary is also been updated
Good luck to the all the teams of Canterbury City Football club and not just the first team and the ladies teams, which seem to get majority of publicity on the website last year

Hawk, I'd bought a brand new outfit to celebrate the start of the new season and to prove a point but you didn't show up! Shame on you.

Still no update on "The Squad" page. A large number of the players from last year have left and having brought in a lot of new players i was hoping there would be some info on them.
On Saturday the squad had at least 4 or 5 new players and i had no idea who they were or where they were from.
So Dave as you still read this, any chance of an update?

Nevermind all this triviality, I'm making my season's debut on Saturday. Anyone up for a pint of shandy?

looking forward to seeing you at the game on Saturday Socksy but don't have too many shandies and get the City chants going, that would upset the locals!

Too late mate, I was in Bridge earlier and bought the last bag of Werthers originals from that corner shop. They'll be livid!

Biggest Fan: I stood with the majority of supporters, on the side we were not suppose to stand
I observed that the Canterbury City FC officials all lead by example and stood …………………........... well along the goal line just by the club house. So they tell us supporters, where to stand and don’t bother to stand there themselves. Nanny rules ok!! You do as we say and not as we do.
Could that be a own goal,
Not sure what the locals will think about the supporters all being along the side the houses.
I see someone has erected a barricade along the gardens. I presume this is to stop the residents rushing out and protesting or is it to stop the bad language penetrating the house from the playing field.
